The Hillsborough County Commission voted 5-2 on Friday to approve its $796 million share of the mixed-use entertainment district that includes a new 31,000-seat stadium that will be near Raymond James Stadium.

Rojas entered the game as a pinch-hitter in the sixth inning and drove in a run with a base hit. He then went yard for a two-run blast off Logan Allen in the eighth. Despite starting the day on the bench with a left-handed starter on the mound for Cleveland, both of Rojas’ hits came off of southpaws. The 32-year-old infielder doesn’t bring much upside, but should continue to play in a strong-side platoon at third base.

Angel Martínez went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI against the Royals on Saturday.

Martínez put the Guardians on the board with a two-run blast off Daniel Lynch in the second inning. He later drove in a third run with a base hit in the ninth as he was responsible for plating all three runs for the Guardians on Saturday. The 24-year-old outfielder is hitting .245/.281/.431 with 13 homers, 37 runs scored, 48 RBI, and 11 steals across 341 plate appearances.
Daniel Lynch IV

Daniel Lynch IV allowed two runs with three strikeouts over 3 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Guardians on Saturday.

Lynch tossed a scoreless first inning, then gave up a two-run homer to Angel Martínez in the second. Lynch would go on to pitch into the fourth, departing with one out at 70 pitches while collecting three strikeouts. AZ Left Fielder #21

Lars Nootbaar clobbered a pinch-hit, go-ahead grand slam in the seventh inning on Saturday, powering the Diamondbacks to a 7-1 victory over the Giants in the first game of their doubleheader.

Nootbaar came off the bench and snapped a scoreless tie, launching a 2-2 fastball from Ryan Walker for the game-changing blast. That would be his only plate appearance in the game. For the season, the 28-year-old slugger is now slashing .231/.332/.375 with six homers and 26 RBI in 250 plate appearances on the season.
Gabriel Moreno

Gabriel Moreno went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored as the Diamondbacks triumphed over the Giants in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader.

Moreno started a rally with a leadoff walk in the seventh inning and wound up scoring the game’s first run on Lars Nootbaar’s grand slam. With the strong day at the dish, the 26-year-old backstop is now slashing .302/.382/.466 with 11 homers and 66 RBI on the season.

Merrill Kelly

Merrill Kelly was brilliant during Saturday’s victory over the Giants, racking up seven strikeouts over seven innings of scoreless baseball.

The 37-year-old righty allowed just two hits in the ballgame — both singles — while issuing four free passes. Kelly got 13 swings and misses on 100 pitches in the ballgame — six of those on his changeup — while registering a CSW of 30 percent. Now 9-12 on the season, he’ll look to further improve upon his 5.08 ERA and 1.48 WHIP when he takes on the Astros in Houston on Friday.
Jonathan Aranda

Jonathan Aranda went 1-for-4 with a solo homer against the Padres on Saturday.

Aranda took Walker Buehler deep for a solo homer in the third inning. He’s slowed down a bit in the power department after slugging 14 homers in the first half. Saturday’s blast was just his third since the All-Star break. The 28-year-old first baseman is up to 17 with 63 runs scored and 79 RBI while hitting .279/.362/.424 across 574 plate appearances.
Ty France

SD 1st Baseman #25

Ty France went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer against the Rays on Saturday.

France knocked a base hit in the second inning, then later took Nick Martinez deep for a two-run blast in the sixth. The 32-year-old first baseman is having a solid season with the Padres, hitting .287/.356/.509 with 19 homers and 58 RBI across 400 plate appearances.
